HANDSTAND WORKSHOP:
THE ART OF GOING UPSIDE DOWN

Friday 16th October
1.30pm-3pm, The Nest SE23 1AT

The art of going upside down is a process. It is learning to trust yourself, it is relearning to play.

Handstands require strength, mobility and confidence. The more you practice, the more you play, the more likely you are to get upside down.

This handstand workshop is for anyone wishing to explore the idea of going upside down and for those wishing to deepen their handstand practice.

Expect this workshop to be playful and inclusive. You'll leave with a sense of achievement and harnesses with key drills to practice this calisthenics skill.

£25 per person, 10% discount for members.

The Teacher
Shani Yeend, the founder of Fitbirds has been handstanding and cartwheeling playfully since childhood, and didn't stop. Although going upside down and movement are embodied for Shani, she understands the real fear which prevents us from continuing this freedom of play. Shani will ensure you feel safe, and find enjoyment in exploring ways to get into a handstand.
