WING WOMEN FAQ

Who is this event for?
Wing Women is for women who want to challenge themselves, try something new and experience a hybrid-style event in a supportive environment. You do not need to be an elite athlete, just need a willingness to turn up and push yourself.

Do I need a partner?
You can enter as a pair, or sign up individually and we will match you with another participant on the day. The whole event is designed around teamwork, encouragement and supporting each other.

Do I need to be able to run 4km?
You do not need to be a competitive runner. We encourage everyone to run the distances where possible, but if you need to walk at any point, that is absolutely fine. The aim is to complete the challenge together.

Do I need experience with hybrid events?
You do not need previous hybrid event experience. However, we recommend attending the Fitbirds classes and PBPT Sunrise Runs to support your running fitness practising the movements beforehand so you feel confident with the stations. All participants must complete a participant waiver before taking part and are responsible for ensuring they are fit and able to complete the challenge safely.

How long will the event take?
Most pairs will complete the challenge in approximately 60 minutes. However the full event is expected to run over two hours, including pre-event briefing and post-event celebrations.

How will the race work?
Before the start, there will be a full briefing explaining the course, movements and expectations. Participants will then be released in waves, meaning you can focus on your own challenge and complete the event at your own pace.

Can my partner be at a different fitness level?
Absolutely. The beauty of this format is working together. You can split reps and support each other throughout.

What equipment is used?
Dumbbells, kettlebells, pull up bars/rings and bodyweight movements. You will be briefed on all movements before the challenge commences.

Will there be water available?
There will be a drinks station available at the end of each run section so you can rehydrate throughout the challenge. We recommend bringing your own water bottle, snacks and/or electrolytes.

What should I bring?
Please bring:
Comfortable training clothes and suitable trainers
Water bottle and snacks/electrolytes if required
Any personal medication you need

What happens if it rains?
The event will go ahead regardless of weather conditions. The running will take place outside so please prepare appropriately for outdoor conditions.

Can I transfer my ticket?
Tickets can be transferred, please let us know if someone is running in your place.

Cancellation and refund policy:

All tickets are non-refundable due to the nature of the event.

Will there be photography?
Photography and video will take place throughout the event and content may be shared across PBPT Fitness and Fitbirds social media channels. By signing up, participants consent to being included in event photography and video.
